The Second Version

Vanity Wordlwide

I thought that Indonesia was still a land of rude tough men (except the very common effeminate gays) all devoted to things like keris, silat, islamic prayers, driving motorbikes like they want to meet their creator as soon as possible and other manly activities.

Instead, every single time I go to the mall's toilet there is at least one young - or not so young either - man very intent at adjusting his hairstyle with water and/or hairgel. At peak hours, there's almost a queue in front of the mirror, people arranged in a staggered manner so that even those behind the first row can go on with their grooming.

Me? One advantage of a high-and-tight haircut is that it doesn't need adjusting.
