Dishonesty Unveiled
It's all the rage in the blogosphere right now, let me jump on the bandwagon for once: Media Dishonesty Matters, a list of 101 cases of dishonesty by journalists, historians and othe authors. And it's chilling to know that those who should supply us with facts upon which we can build our opinions lie so easily.
In the same vein, a lengthy piece on The Atlantic narrates how the painstaking investigations by a few concerned people have demonstrated that, at least, Mohammed al-Dura was not killed by Israeli fire (thanks Kevin).
Yes, lies have time to run around the world before truth has finished knotting her shoes. But someone's still got to do the hard and thankless job of nurturing the truth - because lies often can't keep running so long.
